Barring an 11th-hour course reversal, I'm told that Todd Haley will NOT be joining the Jet coaching staff.

Just because you're paranoid...
doesn’t mean people aren’t out to get ya.

I've realized how big of a Haley fan I am since he's been fired.
I’m more interested in where he ends up than who our head coach was going to be. Unless he ends up in the AFC West, whoever he joins will be my new #2 team.

Ditto
I’m in the same boat. Wish he was still here and that Pioli was gone.
This reaction blows my mind
I don’t know either Pioli or Haley personally, so i won’t comment on if they are overly draconian or not. I will say that Pioli has had some very productive drafts since coming to KC, has brought in a number of well-respected coaches, and has signed a number of key free agents. The overall effect has been a drastic improvement in the on-field product and fan expectations than was seen before he arrived.
Haley seemed to have a good rapport with the players and was part of improving the on-field production. While it wouldn’t have bothered me for him to stick around as HC for next year, our lack of offensive production (his supposed specialty) and his seeming inability to make in-game adjustments also leaves me comfortable with letting him go. The biggest downside I see is that if Cassel is going to be our starting QB again next year, he will be working with his fifth OC in four seasons and likely his third or fourth QB coach. That inconsistency isn’t going to help a mediocre QB produce at a high level.

No one liked Haley...
He drove out Brian Waters, he drove out Charlie Weis, he pissed off D-Bowe to the point that Pioli felt the need to fire the guy to improve our chances of retaining him (Bowe). Everyone spoke about how difficult Haley was to get along with on a personal and professional level. He looked like shit and embarrassed the Arrowhead logo by dressing like a homeless bum.
Not saying I am a Pioli fan, that bastard has done his part to tarnish our image too but to still stay loyal to Haley after everything is mind boggling to me.
Good Riddance.

If the Chiefs hire Josh McDaniels, I will cancel my season tickets -- phew!
Shocker
Maybe the “Arrowhead Anxiety” article was released in timing with Haley trying to get a new job, as it was attempting to paint Haley in a paranoid, delusional light, thus scaring away any team to hire him. Its just that Babb does such an awful job of it, he makes it seem like it flipped towards Pioli/Donovan.
Nice job, Babb. Your article was a total failure, but the results are coming in: you are preventing Haley from getting a job
:-)
I'm so overrated, I'm underrated.

And if Rex "Foot Fetish" Ryan gets creeped out by someone
You know it’s bad.

Funny
I bet Rex pulled Haley in for an interview just to have the floor covered in candy bar wrappers.
I bet everyone atleast got a good belly laugh at Haley’s expense.
How long should you try? Until.

I heard from a reliable source
that the Jets would not hire Haley because he did not pick up all of Rex’s candy wrappers in the hallway. And believe me, there were lots of them.

He probably should have shaved prior to the interview
and probably should have peeled the cap from 2010 training camp from his head.

He'll have a hard time finding an OC position
For all of the hype of his offensive genius in AZ, the only time we had a productive offense was when Weis was in charge. He may be able to catch on somewhere as a WR coach and rebuild that reputation as an offensive genius.
