Should of been done in the regular season, dude cant ride Payton and expect to keep his job in this "what are you doing now" league

Wouldn't have mattered then.
I like the timing, cutting ties now with Polian and Caldwell. One more nail in the coffin for the Peyton Manning era.
A new GM and HC to build a new franchise around shiny new Andrew Luck
whilst Manning comes to KC and wins a Super Bowl in 2012? Yeah, sounds like a fine plan
Ryan Succop will be the kicker for the AFC in the 2011 Pro Bowl
Which half?
WHICH HALF?!

New OC?
I wouldn’t be opposed to it.
How long should you try? Until.

Who Peyton?
This year showed who the real OC was in Indy…
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!

Well
Caldwell has been QB coach WR coach and head coach. He has lots of offensive experience.
I believe he could be a good OC.

I always worry about the offensive genius of coaches associated with great players.

He may have a lot of offensive experience, but what if his experience is offensive?
by Topchief1 on Jan 17, 2012 2:08 PM CST up reply actions 2 recs
I'll pass.
He’s never been an NFL OC, and I don’t think he’s ever called plays.
WR or QB coach? Sure.
Could help
Attract Manning

OC perhaps, his record as a head coach (without Peyton Manning) is abhorrent
26-63 as a college HC
2-14 with Indy without Peyton
24 – 8 with Peyton
So as long as Peyton is with him, he’s gold. My dog can probably win with Peyton at QB (and he’s an idiot).
Now, as for OC, maybe he could work out, but I don’t know. At least he wouldn’t have to manage clock or anything else that he did so terribly at Indy. Also curious that he played D in his career but is now an offensive guy. I don’t know, I’m just not a giant Caldwell fan.

Tom Moore
He’s with the Jets for now… which is one of the reasons they think they have a shot at him (Peyton).

If he was good at those positions
shouldnt Peytons backups been better? Me, Id pass because I believe its finally been proven that Peyton is the HC and OC of that team for the last 10+years

I would have loved to see the look on Caldwell's face.

Let's hear from all the people
who suggested they would lose on purpose to enhance their draft status. Doesn’t look like that matters to Polian and Caldwell, huh?
Or these guys want to stick with Pey Pey
While ownership wants to go with Luck
Standing on the corner in a white Godfather hat. He drives a long black gangster Cadillac. He can steal a broads mind, man, in three or four minutes. It’s not how long you talk, brother, it’s what you put in it.
I suggested the Dolphins were losing on purpose.
Damn, did that ever backfire. Sorry about that.

Still think the NFL needs a draft lottery?

I was making an ass-u-me'tion.
Some of the people who were saying teams would/were tanking games on purpose were saying the NFL needs a draft lottery to stop it. I think GMs, coaches and players being fired is a far greater incentive not to throw games. One player can make a far greater impact in the NBA than the NFL too.
The draft lottery is silly. I think the NBA does it mostly to generate extra interest in their pitifully tiny draft.
I made a joke once about Marshal dropping so many passes because he got promised money + a replacement for Matt Moore.
My favorite gladiator was Crush but hey, to each his own.

if healthy manning will be in kc this season
one more reason why i think peyton will be gone, with caldwell being fired. lets see if we can get jeff saturday at center for a couple years
will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.
Signing Jeff Saturday
would be like bringing Wiegmann back

it wont be to come to KC he will go to the Jets, Im calling it now
Yeah I know but i think saturday got a couple years left and might help get manning to come to kc if healthy
will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.
who do u think has better overall talent the jets or chiefs
thats where manning will go. I say KC does
will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.
how about the current rosters now who has a better team right now kc or the jets
will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.

I think its a tie
The Jets are married to Sanchez though, the GM and coach have both said Sanchez will be the starter. Plus, there is a lot of drama in NY right now. I don’t think Manning would want to deal with NY media, I think him and his wife are more accustomed to small, mid west markets. Plus, Crennel fits the HC Manning likes playing under. Not to mention we have top notch facilities to help him rehab and stay healthy.
