As part of NFL.com’s ridiculously early mock draft party on Tuesday, Steve Wyche projects the Browns will trade up with the Rams for the No. 2 overall pick to take Griffin.
"Cleveland needs Griffin — and wants him, according to league sources," Wyche writes.

As I've been saying for months...
RG3 is going 2nd, it’s just a matter of who trades up to get him.
They have had some big busts with QB's but at least they keep trying
Since 1999 they have drafted 6 QB’s
Colt McCoy 2010 3rd Round
Brady Quinn 2007 1st Round
Charlie Frye 2005 3rd Round
Luke McCown 2004 4th Round
Spergon Wynn 2000 6th Round
Tim Couch 1999 1st Round
QB’s we’ve drafted in the same time, 3 with Croyle being the highest.
Ricky Stanzi 2011 5th Round
Brodie Croyle 2006 3rd Round
James Kilian 2007 7th Round
It hasn’t worked out for them but at least they keep trying which is something we haven’t done. Although I really liked both Couch and Quinn coming out of college and thought they could have done well with either. Couch had nothing around him and was murdered similar to Carr when Houston expanded.
Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.
Good move for the Rams and Browns
Could be a win/win unless RGIII completely bombs, which, in Cleveland could very well happen. I wonder if they would want a Pro Bowl WR for their shiny new QB for their two 2nd rounders.
"Give them nothing! But take from them everything!"
I think it makes sense
This team has made due with Seneca Wallace at times, and I think him and Griffin are very comparable in skill set.
With that said, its time to throw our hat in the ring.
Step one: give St Louis a many draft picks as possible to at least make them think about it. If that fails…
Step two: start Stanzi from the start of the season. Best case, he develops well and we win some games, while having some hope for the near future. Worst case, he sucks, we lose a whole bunch of games, and we are in a position for Barkley next year
I'm so overrated, I'm underrated.

I read something the other day
Where we can trade Bowe and two 1st rounders to STL then turn around and trade the #2 overall and get Jake Long, two 1sts and two 2nds out of Miami. I think we should really pursue that.

sounds crazy to me.
That is what Miami would trade for Andrew Luck IMO.
Also the Rams would take Miamis offer over the chiefs offer.
Your worst case would also involve the head coach and maybe the GM getting fired.
Because that’s what happens when you tank a season.

Well, if RG3 goes to Cleveland,
then I’ll have a great apologist excuse as to why he failed.
