It does seem they are getting that way.
I used to like Keitzman and Jack Harry (yeah, yeah, I know) but over the last few years they have gotten so bad. 610 isn’t really any better. If I could permanently sew Fescoe’s mouth shut I would.
KC media isn’t what it is in like NY but they are getting bad. Heck, I even remember Whitlock when he was good, before he went insane
Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.
This would be a huge story if anyone actually read the Kansas City Star anymore...
Way to dig deep Kent Babb…
I wish he would use those investigative skills to get a beat on some of the Chiefs potential new coaches. Oh well, at least the pot is being stirred.
Meh...
I don't only want to stand out here when we get our asses kicked... I like to stand out here when we kick somebody else's ass... Big Win, Big Win ~ Todd Haley

It's getting harder and harder for me to take our local media seriously.
It’s to the point where they’re crying wolf and if something actually does happen I won’t believe them.
Yeah, Babb is such a hack
Goin around, talking to all those people, doing research and reporting facts. Sure, two dozen people confirmed what is like to work at Arrowhead under Pioli but you know, they’re all just crazy and bitter because they got fired.
Sending security after a citizen for taking a picture on a public road? Obsessing over a candy wrapper for a WEEK and then bringing it up in a meeting?
Yeah, that’s normal. That is exactly the kind of guy I want running my favorite football team.

Talking to fired former employees who have a pending lawsuit against the Chiefs?
I guess that is “research” of some sort. But why the rhetorical fluff? Why write it like a murder mystery novel, even describing Haley’s hallway behavior as if he was there looking at him?
Come on, you have people who were fired saying this stuff, and you have people who are still with the organization saying the exact opposite. It’s 100% he said she said, and if that’s what they have it will go nowhere in a court of law (at least it shouldn’t).
Only 3 of the 24 people Babb talked to
Are involved int he lawsuit.
Also, a number of the people quoted in article resigned on their own.
I think it is highly unlikely all of those people are just making shit up because they are bitter. A handful of people is one thing but 24?

I'm not surprised that the people who resigned didn't like the work anymore.
That’s kind of what usually happens isn’t it? If you can’t handle, or don’t like, what you’re doing you quit. That doesn’t mean there’s some grand conspiracy going on, or that the execs at Arrowhead have the capability or chutzpah to bug people’s phones and offices.
What about the eighty some FO members who still work there? What about Romeo Crennel, who just accepted a new job as head coach after working in the same environment for as long as Haley? Why are they okay with what’s going on if it’s so illegal?
We know the KC media has been annoyed by their lack of ability to get “inside info” at 1 Arrowhead. Add to that the fact that similar complaints happened in the Peterson turnover, and it does look more and more like disgruntled employees. Furthermore, just because only 3 people are involved in the lawsuit doesn’t mean the other 21 aren’t supporting their buds.
I’m not saying people are necessarily lying, but perhaps have developed a way they perceive what happened that’s not necessarily accurate.
Who cares
The point isn’t about how obvious it is that he is exaggerating and used loosely translated quotation. The point is how necessary was it to run the organization so strictly. We will likley have differing opinions on this as I do not have an anti-Pioli agenda/vendetta an these HACKS do.

Well said.
The only thing is if something illegal did happen. But if Haley really thought his phone was bugged, why didn’t he go to the authorities. That makes no sense.
This just has the feel of drubbed up drama.
I agree that Babb did work
and put together a piece that leans toward his views but also allows the story to have polarizing opinions. This let’s people to read through and hopefully think for themselves in what they think. Which is why now we have divide amongst Chiefs fans. Some think Babb is reaching and others think he’s dead on.
If there are felonies committed here, then that to me is obviously a huge line crosser, but nothing has been proven, just some people who speculate. If you take out the felony part I don’t see why fans are so upset. Pioli came in and turned around the culture here and made people accountable (I wish they could do that where I work). Has he gone to far? I don’t know, the statement Stephanie Melton made regarding Pioli being focused on what seemed like unimportant things for a GM I think is a good example of why the culture needed to change. If someone is responsible for something they need to be doing that, Pioli holds someone accountable and they haven’t had that in years, it’s probably very upsetting and uncomfortable. I’m glad Pioli would hole people responsible for little things, if everyone who works there is doing their job and doing it the best they can, then he won’t have to worry about those things.
I also don’t see why anyone is surprised there was turnover. This is a group with tons of directors and VPs that had worked for a decade or more in the organization. How many decades has it been since we’ve had a true contender? At least Pioli gave some of these people a chance, be it a year or 2 to try and buy into what he is doing. These people seem surprised they lost their jobs because they did what they always did when it’s been made loud and clear from the beginning that things were changing.

This is pretty upsetting
Babb is starting drama and criticizing my Chiefs family (and his family) because he can’t find anything to talk about. Pioli just opened up last week stating he wanted to be more open to the public and media… and Babb does this? He just lost that card if you ask me and he just ruined that opportunity for the rest of us. Why can’t he ever “research” the good things that are going on… he might be surprised (in fact I personally know he would be). Thanks Babb….thanks.
Stupid ACLs...
