Petition from Chiefs fans to Brandon Carr

Mr. Carr,

First, we'd like to thank you for being a Chief. You've improved every year that you've been here and we expect that to continue in your career.

Some may say that this is a "butt-kisser" type of move, and I can't say I don't agree. However, we (see the comments sections below and everywhere on Arrowhead Pride) want you to hear straight from the mouth (or in this case, keyboard) of Chiefs fans that we will be devastated if you leave. Our defense has the potential to be one of the best in the league, and we all feel that if you leave, it would be a detrimental blow to our entire team that would set us back even farther from the championships that we all want and believe can happen in the near future.

I know that you and your agent are interested in exploring all of your options so that you do what is best for you and your family. This is the correct approach. However, I'm going to make it easy for you: the best option for you is to stay in Kansas City. While Kansas City may not end up offering you the most money of every offer you will receive, I can guarantee you that the Kansas City Chiefs as a whole have more to offer to you then any other team in the league because we have something that no other team has: we've stood behind and beside you for the last 4 years.

Anyone else that tries to pry you away from KC is simply jumping onto the bandwagon late. I'll admit that no one knew for sure what would come from your career when we drafted you, but one thing remains true: we believed in you enough to take the chance.

Now, we're asking you to the same for us. I'm sure B. Flowers and the rest of your friends on the squad would agree that we need you on this team. Do yourself and Chiefs fans everywhere a favor: stay in KC. Deep down, even though the money may be calling from other places, you can never replace family and you can never replace the feeling of being "home." Therefore, Mr. Carr, I ask you, would you really rather be anywhere else but the "Home of the CHIIIIIEEEEEEEEEFFFFS?"

Stay. The team needs you, and with you this defense is ready to do some serious damage, and IMO make history and break some records.

I really thought 2011 was going to be our Chiefs breakout year. Injuries to key players has hurt us bad, but I have hope we will see growth and a few surprising wins this year. GO CHIEFS !!!!!!!!

Carr you are a key peice of the puzzle on defense.

Were about to have the best secondary in the NFL. Carr, Flowers, KLewis, E berry.
We need you, Stay with the Chiefs for the rest of your career and then go into the Chiefs HOF. Carr, This is your home, don’t leave.
