Chiefs likely to draft a junior in 1st round
I get the impression that the Chiefs like to draft players who have completed the entirety of their college eligibility, principally because of the additional experience and maturity the player incurs by staying. Jonathan Baldwin, coming out as a junior, is an example of why one would follow that philosophy - his rookie year was largely wasted recovering from an immature outburst. (I'm not suggesting Baldwin would be more mature if he'd stayed... Rather, more mature players stay through their entire 4 years.) Regardless of all these ruminations, according to the rankings of players, it looks like the best players are predominantly juniors. CBS Sportsline's rankings only show 2 seniors among the top 12 (Devon Still and Quinten Coples).

I thought Decastro was a senior

DeCastro isn't worth the 11th pick in the draft
No guard is worth selecting in the top half of the first round. The difference between an upper echelon guard and a serviceable one is narrow.
Will Shields says "hi"
But in all seriousness, I couldn’t disagree with your statement more.
Nicknames I have coined:
Jamaal Charles = 'Haley's Comet'
Shaun Smith = 'Big Nasty'
Kelly Gregg = 'Old Gregg'
While he was being selected
in the 3rd round.

So no QB is worth a 1-5 pick because Brady was a late 6th?
Gotta love that logic

Ill take improvement to the interior of the o-line over any other option picking at 11 or 12

Thomas Jones must have come out as a junior too.

I don't understand that comment.
Jones wasn’t the issue, he was just the recipient of Baldwin’s limp fist.
Actually there were multiple reports that it was Jones who started that fight
And Jones who took hazing too far and Baldwin just stood up for himself.

Yes. Speculation.
The only reports were that Baldwin and Charles had just previously been in a bit of a scuffle. Then Jones and Baldwin did not long after.
Whether the two instances are related, what they were about and who did what first to whom is all speculation and rumor.
Foxtrot Alpha November - Sierra Hotel Oscar Tango!
I think Matt Kalil was a pretty decent senior too wasnt he?

i'm pretty sure eric berry came out as a junior too.
he seems to be plenty mature
The only players I hurt with my words are the ones who have an inflated opinion of their ability. I can't worry about that.

Flowers and Charles as well.
Starting to look like quite a few of our team leaders must be really immature since they left college early.
