We have been having several different discussions regarding our team, and it has been interesting to see all the different viewpoints. Some of them completely boggle my mind with their detailed and well thought out substance. Others leave me wondering if these folks ever came close to learning the game of football. But one concept that has been floating around for several years is the adjustment in Brandon Albert's position.
Since he was a guard in college many feel that he should move inside a play guard. Okay, I kinda get it as he was a guard in school, but the man is way to talented to be a guard. Myself, during his earlier years at LT, speculated that he would be a better, if not All-Pro Right Tackle. For a big man, he is extremely agile and is now playing well at LT, so there is no real reason to move him unless we get lucky with a player on par with Joe Thomas.
So that brings the fun part, to me, and is not in any way serious or do I have any expectations that this is even being considered. Especially as it would create a need for 2 starters at the offensive tackle position. OK, are you ready to laugh? Here it is the, we move Albert to CENTER. Think about it some. So many of us have been ready to move him somewhere besides LT, but never a mention at Center, Why is that? We obviously have a need there, don't we?
What am I on CRACK? No, thank the God of all things, but never liked chemicals and my mental prowess left me in the 70's, without the help of street drugs. But I thought this was a wee bit funny after seeing all our differing opinions about Albert and our needs on the O-line and just couldn't resist mentioning that one of our biggest needs could be filled with out best lineman moving into that position. Har har har!
OK, I'm done with this, but want to share with you all this little happenstance. I met a gal with a killer body, but was a wee bit homely. And we got to talking and she started rubbing against me and petting my muscles, so I made a date for that evening. I went to the drug store for some condoms and as I was checking out the lady asked me if I needed a paper bag to go with the condoms. I had to think about it for a bit, but replied "no thanks, she isn't that ugly." Har Har Har! GO Chief's!!
