Alex Gibbs?

What happend to him in Seatle last year? I know he worked with his son in the past in Houston and I still think he is the best o line coach especially for the Zone Blocking Scheme.

How huge would it be to bring in him as the O Line coach or even consultant for a yeaer or two to help complete our o line. I know he had a hug effect on Houston and lets not even discuss how much he did for denver.

I know a lot has been discussed about Coordinators (great piece by the way on Tom Clements and Mel Tucker i agree 100 percent) i have not seen his name pop up.

So is he done for good or would he not mind working for Romeo (not Haley) in even a small capacity to work around his son etc? Makes perfect sense as we use the ZBS and normally he did not require high round draft picks to accomplisth his goals.

Thoughts?

Like the idea, unsure where we are headed with this line. Was not happy that the team

resigned Wiegman last year but desperate times makes strange things happen. Really disliked seeing BRich starting, again, last year and I have my biggest questions about the organization as to HOW they haven’t done much with it in the last 3 years. This is going to make or break our team, how they handle fixing the o-line this year and a coaching change might be an indicator of what they intend.

Alex Gibbs is probably responsible for more prematurely ended careers than any other single person in sports history.

If he came back to the sidelines, you might see a half dozen defensive players diving for his knees. And I wouldn’t blame them one bit.

He coached the dirtiest techniques in football when he employed the ZBS in Denver and later in Atlanta.
