Sports Illustrated has released their 2011 NFL predictions including the MVP, offensive and defensive players of the year as well as a prediction on all eight division winners and four wildcard teams from both conferences.

Not one SI scribe selects the Kansas City Chiefs to make the playoffs. Each year, there's roughly a 50 percent turnover rate for playoff teams so it appears every single one thinks the Chiefs will be part of that turnover.

Two folks from SI predict RB Jamaal Charles is the offensive player of the year but, other than him, the Chiefs aren't mentioned at all.

As much fun as it would be talking about people predicting the Chiefs as AFC West champs, I think I prefer it this way, flying under the radar a little bit. The San Diego Chargers have won the division four of the last five years so, to me, it's understandable that most are picking them to win the division.

I just hope they're wrong.
