G'afternoon Arrowhead Priders
Well over the last couple days I've made a couple (what people feel) outlandish predictions about the upcoming NFL season regarding various award winners, so I thought it would be an interesting exercise to see what some of ya'll think. I'm going to list all the major NFL award categories, and make my prediction on who I think will win them.
Categories are:
- Superbowl winner
- NFL MVP
- Offensive/Defensive player of the year
- Offensive/Defensive Rookie of the year
- Come back player of the year
- Coach of the year
I'll list my prediction after the jump, and I'd like to hear yours. I'll take a look after the season and see how we did.
Superbowl winner: I have the Texans beating the Cowboys 31-24 with Andre Johnson winning the SB MVPNFL MVP: I've jumped right on the Tony Romo bandwagon. For a guy who plays for "Americas Team" he sure flies under the radar, and I'm going to project a huge breakout year
Offensive/Defensive player of the year: Offensive, i'm going with our boy Jamaal Charles. If the Chiefs have a decent year, and Jamaal stays healthy, I'm thinking he'll have a huge year. (Here's hoping anyways). Defensive POY, I'm going with Ndomukong Suh. He was a beast last year, and with the Lions taking a step forward, I think it will be because of that beastly front 4
Offensive/Defensive Rookie of the year: Daniel Thomas of the Dolphins and Phil Taylor of the Chiefs Browns
Comeback player of the year: After the Seahawks start 0-4 with abysmal QB play, Darrel Bevell calls up his good buddy Brett Favre who comes back to lead the Seahawks to a 12-4 record and first round bye. Book it
Coach of the year: Pat Shurmur, Cleveland Browns. I think the Browns are another team poised to take the next step
So what say you AP?
