Clearly the Chiefs insist on playing time from the people they grossly over pay, such as Tyson "The Bust" Jackson, but quarterback is a higher profile position and if Palko really impresses in the Buffalo game maybe Cassell will ride the pine, clearly his natural habitat, a bit longer. And before anyone seriously uses the the term "pro bowl" in the same sentence as "Cassell" you should note how many starters bailed before it came down to him. It's long past time to see Cassell's vacant expression, pitchers windup, and gross inaccuracy away from the field...
Palko at least is present and brings a sense of alertness and urgency. He also has considerably more zip on the ball than Cassell. He's better suited to a quick strike offense that uses dumpoffs, screens and touch passes. Sure he needs better decision making, but so does anyone with scant playing time. If he gets a chance to hang in there, he'll be a big improvement.
