Is Everything That Is Happening Haley's Fault?

I have been really busy lately, but I do take the time to read AP to keep track of what is going on.  I know that ToMo (Moeaki) is on IR, and now I hear rumors that Cassel has possible rib damage.  I have read many of the posts and some of us are ANGRY, and rightfully so.

My question is  "Is this all Haley's fault?"

I am a very positive person.  I try to always see the positive in everything.  But I also try to be honest and acknowledge what is really there.

Lets start with Moeaki and the team as a whole.  We all know that the players have gotten nowhere near the reps that they are used to getting in a normal offseason.  There are likely going to be lots of injuries this season because of this.  I for one really liked Haley's approach to the preseason.  I think that he was trying to balance evaluating several new players and free agents while also getting our players into great condition.

One thing that we know about Haley is that he knows how to condition.  This has been proven by the low rate of injuries our players have had since he has been in charge.  I think his previous track record should get him a break because we know he knows what he is doing in this regard.

Moeaki's injury (and all injuries for that matter) has caused me to present a subject for discussion to the group.  I have always wondered when people said " if a player wasn't playing in certain situations, then they wouldn't have gotten hurt ".  I don't know if that is realistic.  Who is to say that if Cassel and Moeaki would not have played in the last preseason game that they would not have gotten hurt?

Who is to say they wouldn't have gotten hurt in the 1st regular season game?  And if they did, would anyone really feel any better about it?  Is it not possible that "the next hit will break the bone" no matter whether it is preseason, practice, or the Super Bowl?  It just seems unlikely to me that they wouldn't have gotten hurt at all if they would not have played in that game.

And let's be honest.  I am not a Cassel basher, but I also know that Cassel is not Tom Brady.  And I believe that we all agree that he has not looked good so far.  I personally thought he needed the reps.  We know he is a slow starter.  So I have no problems and I don't blame Haley.
