First of all, I've never been in the NFL, so maybe they do things differently there, but the following was the case every year for every play on every team I was ever on. For a play going to the right, we have one exactly like it that goes to the left. It's the same play, just to the other side.
While there would be plays run much more to one side than the other for various reasons, we all knew how to run each play to either side. In effect, this meant you knew how to play the same position on the other side. A few of the dumber kids couldn't handle switching sides, but most did it without any problems.
So, for instance, a left tackle has all the same assignments to learn as a right tackle. Maybe there's a few things they don't trust the RT with, but surely the guy they have on the blind side can do everything the RT can do.
Why do some people think it would be such a challenge for albert to switch sides? He played just fine next to asomoah last year when waters was hurt, and he probably already knows all of BRich's assignments because he has the same ones on the other side.
