Chiefs Injury Report Includes Jonathan Baldwin And Three New Names
The Kansas City Chiefs first injury report for Minnesota Vikings week includes four players -- DE Brandon Bair, WR Jonathan Baldwin, CB Brandon Flowers and S Jon McGraw. Baldwin is the only one of these guys who appeared on last week's injury report.
Bair did not practice at all on Wednesday with an illness. We're not sure what that means or if it's anything serious.
The other three guys were limited.
Baldwin is still battling the thumb injury he suffered in August and was listed as a limited participant. This is the second consecutive week he's been listed as limited and it sounds like Baldwin has a shot at playing this weekend.
Flowers suffered an ankle injury last weekend against the San Diego Chargers, reportedly a high ankle sprain, according to Nick Wright. That can be a tough injury and he was listed as a limited participant in today's practice. No word on his status for Sunday.
McGraw left Sunday's game with what the Chiefs are calling a shin injury and he was a limited participant in practice. Like the other guys, we're not sure of his chances of playing on Sunday.
The Vikings injury report had two guys missing practice -- LB E.J. Henderson (knee) and RB Adrian Peterson (calf). Limited participants were S Tyrell Johnson (hip) and TE Jim Kleinsasser (elbow). CB Asher Allen (toe), CB Chris Cook (groin) and DT Kevin Williams were full participants in practice.

would Peterson
not playing make a chiefs victory feel cheap? Don’t get me wrong, i’ll still take it!

If that's the case...
Then the teams who have beat the Chiefs should feel like their victories were cheap, what with the loss of Moeaki, Berry, Charles…

I'd call it fair
we don’t have our best RB , TE , or safety . Nd unfortuanlly probably not our best cornerback
no such thing as cheap victories
a wins a win. After all you think if they win theyll be saying yeah its a win bit they didnt have Berry, Charles, Siler, or Moeaki? Somehow I doubt it

Heh. You're fired up on this Jones thing.
And I’ll level with you. Except for thinking he’s something of a crybaby, when I saw the Jets land Ladainian, it looked like upgrade, to me. I wondered why the Chiefs didn’t throw a little more weight around for the more explosive runner with the better receiving skills.
With all the negativity towards Jones, though, my Team Football self r’ars up and I see Jones as your standard halfback. As such, he’s the journeyman bellwether for where the team is. If the O-Line is winning its battles, he’s the all-around guy, like Emmitt Smith, who lets you run and pass out of the same pro set formation, all day long. Simple formations, but you do a lot of different things out of them.
You start using McClain a lot like the Redskins were using Todd Heap. Half the time he’s slamming up the gut and LBs are just trying to stay out of his way. It gives you a beautiful changeup, then, when your ’tweener (FB/TE) runs right past the LB, who was anticipating having to fight off the block and stuff Jones, so he even moves AWAY from McClain, a little bit, and his body lean forward, taking him TOTALLY out of any coverage on McClain, who settles in behind, and makes the easy catch.
But being MEAN AND NASTY as a blocker for Jones, whom the Chiefs stupidly keep sending up the gut. The game-turner is showing EXACTLY the same formation, only now Jones and McClain both are looking to jack somebody up, while Cassel takes an extra second or two to survey the field. Love having those two guys in to pass protect, or filter into the flat, during lulls in the pass rush, or catching pick-n-roll screens, and McClain has an impressive skill set for that old Bill Walsh-style FB, who’s a beastly blocker who’ll make the catch for you, too.
would of ≠ would've
Fired up
On whats obvious and could have easily been fixed but wasn’t by our brain trust, the same ones who thought LJ and Kolby Smith were better rb’s than Jamaal Charles.

TJones stats
Last 13 games 160 carries/447 yds and one broken hand for a teammate. Take out the 28yd run he had last yr in this stretch and he is down to 2.63.
Carpe Diem
13 games
Prior to that he was respectable and filling the role he was brought in to do. Since then its been a straight nose dive with no chance of improvement from 33-yr old rb. This really should have been addressed in the offseason but wasn’t.
Carpe Diem
they should have signed Jason Snelling
that guy would have been a star, but instead, sits on the bench in Atlanta.
