Eric Berry Headed To Surgery This Week
Kansas City Chiefs S Eric Berry is gone but not yet forgotten. Several reporters have noted that Berry has been out at Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs practice.
Just last week we talked about Berry going around to a local school in Kansas City as part of his role with Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
And today Berry was once again out in the community as he picked up a fifth-grader from school and went to school in style -- in a limousine.
Reporters talked to Berry today and NBC Action News reports that Berry is scheduled to undergo surgery on his torn ACL in Pensacola, Florida on Thursday morning.
Berry's on IR so there's no hope of him coming back this year but let's hope all goes well and it's just a minor setback for a major comeback.

He will be the next Bionicman
or Bionic Berry I should say
Men succeed when they realize that their failures are the preparation for their victories.
Good luck Berry
I hope they don’t break too many surgical tools trying to penetrate your skin.

Thanks for the update Joel.
Hey, I met your old friend RG out in Grandview a week or so back. We had a few brewskies. Talked about you and Chris and AP for a couple of hours. Nice fella.
As for Berry, I’m just hoping these ACL injuries don’t become nagging and recurring for Berry, or Meaoki and they all make it back to 100% for next year.
And Jamaal’s too of course.
If anything good could come out of this, it’s the number 1 pick in the draft.
And if we can get Andrew Luck, we might be able to convince a guy like Bill Cowher also.
At least, that’s what thinking right now. Luck and Cowher. Priorities 1 and 2 for next year.
As I’ve said many times, all things in life are temporary, and Todd Haley will find this out very soon unfortunately….or, soon enough.

Do that work, Urric.
You’ll send some OC’s to therapy next season looking for answers in their lives.
Andrew Luck will bring balance to the force, peace to the galaxy and multiple Lombardi trophies to One Arrowhead Drive!!!
Uric Burry
It makes me very sad a) that he’s not on the field for the Chiefs right now and b) that I don’t get to shout “Uric Burry!” every time I pick some poor schmuck off with him on Madden.
why couldn't you do it on Madden?
Andrew Luck will bring balance to the force, peace to the galaxy and multiple Lombardi trophies to One Arrowhead Drive!!!
I suppose I could do that offline, but online I can't.

I think it's bullcrap that they take em off.
I’m already missing the players in real life.. leave them in my video game, dammit.

Agreed . Wes welkers still a beast
After blowing out his knee. I think they can come back just as strong. As long as they allow perfect rehab and dont try to do anything to early.
Kid blew his knee out and came back out on the field to try and play again
Special player right there. Rehab should be nothin for him
Berry
Is going to come back in a major way. Has a long career ahead of him still.. Will he still be as fast?

My understanding
is that the ACL doesn’t really affect speed. Speed comes from the hips and thighs. The ACL is more about quick cuts and such, which is still very important, of course.

as long as he allows proper healing
Shouldn’t affect him , or any of these guys to much . But unfortunately there are some guys that it is a reoccurring thing, like the linebacker from carolina.. Its like his 2nd or 3rd time :P.Lets hope not in our case though.
Yeah, medical advancements are amazing.
It’s difficult not to worry about this kind of thing, though, because it used to be a career ending injury.

I'm in northeast Alabama.
Did you move from MO? What do you think?

Yes, from Mo.
The college football atmosphere is nothing like I have seen. I am a huge Mizzou fan but, people here are a bit extreme when it comes to Auburn, Alabama.. I was really surprised not very many NFL fans here..

Very very few NFL fans.
Because no one has a favorite team. It’s all about the college ball.
And you know, once you’ve been here as long as you have you’re obligated to choose :).
I hope you like it though. Folks/things down here are certainly different. Sometimes it’s frustrating and sometimes I love it. Just wish I could buy beer on Sundays!
