Another Tryout For Former Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle
The Kansas City Chiefs play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 and the quarterback they may have expected to see before the season, QB Peyton Manning, won't be on the field.
It remains to be seen whether QB Kerry Collins, who was signed in the offseason, will be there as he recovers from some sort of injury suffered last weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If the Collins injury is serious, the Colts may consider signing another quarterback and that quarterback could be familiar to the Chiefs, according to the Indy Star.
Sources says Colts are working out QB Dan Orlovsky and Brodie Croyle today as they consider roster addition.
Croyle, who wasn't re-signed by the Chiefs, spent about a week with the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason.
QB Curtis Painter came in for Collins last week so a lot of things would have to go wrong in Indy for the Chiefs to see Croyle in Week 5.

How many fans would want to tank the year
If a Brodie Croyle led Colts beat us? How many would go so far as to stop being Chiefs fans? Oh my god, the thought of it happening at all blows my mind.

I might kill myself if the Colts sign Croyle and then he starts and beats the Chiefs in week 5.

I've always liked Croyle more than Cassel. He can make the throws, but he just can't stay healthy.
God typed "iddqd" before creating Jason Heyward.
Let's see...
56.7% completion percentage, 8:9 TD:INT ratio, 67.8 QB rating, 0-11 as a starter.
What’s not to like?

You're forgetting something.

How embarrassing
would it be for Croyle to come in to face the chiefs in week 5 and get his first career win against the team that drafted him. Folks I think it COULD happen.

Smart money is they sign Orlovsky.
He was there in training camp and knows the offense.

They're bringing Croyle in because he has the keys to our high powered offense.
Predictions:
I'm going to stop predicting positive things
High-powered offense..?
Short run, short run, short pass, and punt? That sure sounds powerful when it’s typed out. lol

Karma
Croyle plays against us and starts audibleing on the line. Goes 20-24 on the line for 186 yards. 3 TD’s
Limps off the field in the 3rd quarter after Hali is finally single teamed after being double-teamed the entire first half.
Cassell throws the ball away with 46 seconds left in the game after forgetting it was 4th down ‘ala Grbac. Even though it was from the 20 yard line since Haley lost all confidence in Succop and didn’t put the kicking unit on the field.
Chiefs lose 24-2.
Just a little humor here :)
24-2 is probably more accurate.

Is Karma the new Irony?
Buffalo W (0-1) @Indianapolis W Denver W @Jets W
@Detroit W (0-2) @Oakland L @New England L Green Bay L
@San Diego L (1-2) San Diego W Pittsburgh W Oakland W
Minnesota W Miami W @Chicago W @Denver W
Karma for all the injuries he's sustained, only to make a comeback
….jeez Tark, can you NOT get a joke?
MNChiefs has a front page post, but it’s a joke too FYI….lol
Apparently not.

He needs a line that can block, something he never had in KC.

Is it just me??? Doesn’t Andrew Luck look like the Geico CaveMan without the beard?
Why not?
Thigpen mopped up against us for the last 9 mins vs Buffalo. Then we had the backup for Detroit for the final 8 mins. At least Croyle would have a cushy team to play against…..
Rivers thought so too.

Yeah
And when Crennel starts sending Houston instead of Shef, we’ll be putting the QB on his butt even more.
I like the approach we took this last game. Get after the QB. Our pass rushers are one of the few strengths we have left.

All of you Croyle supporters keep dreaming...
He’s not starting and even if he did, he’d end up getting injured before he could win the game for the Colts.
2011 Chiefs record prediction: 7-9
I really like to stay positive about ex chiefs
but croyle is a lousy QB. Id love it if we got to face croyle…I think kendrick lewis would pick him off twice on overthrows
Team Pioli/Haley. Decade of the Chiefs.
Team Colquitt
They're trying out Orlovsky?
::smirks:: I was wondering what he’s been doing since he quit the UFC…
Seriously, though, CROYLE?? How fricking desperate would you have to be to pick up an 0-11 QB? Why don’t they pick up Garrard for crying out loud? At least he’s won SOME games….
