PrintIt's Week 3 in the 2011 NFL season and the Kansas City Chiefs aren't playing the San Diego Chargers until 3:05 p.m. (Arrowhead Time).
So this is your open thread for the early games.
I really want to see the New England Patriots play the Buffalo Bills but the game we get in Kansas City is the New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles (....nothing worse than NFC football on FOX). QB Michael Vick is playing after suffering a concussion last week so that's the big story line in that game.

Other then those things which were really interesting the thing that jumped out at me was how normal this guy is.
If you watched this you would never guess he’s a guy making 7.5M/year. He drives an Impala? He lives like a guy making 50k/year.

but it really blew me away.
He is a half step slower than Charles, but a little more powerful. I really think if he played for a team more determined to run, we would talk about him like he was one of the top 2 or 3 backs in the league.

I'm not sure when Hali becomes the kind of player that gets those calls
But I’m working on a breakdown of a few of the top pass rushers and how many times they draw the holding call and lets just say Hali gets no where near the respect that some of the other guys get. Last week he was up against probably the worst LT in the league and he didn’t get to the QB once and you’re telling me the refs think thats legit?

I disagree.
I like the college system, in which every play is potentially reviewable. I’m for getting the calls right, not for adding time out strategy. And it’s really dumb when you run out of challenges, even though they were all overturned.

Most of the time you don’t even notice. It’s only when the play is questionable, that they call for further review. Again, in college, every single play is looked at by the replay booth, and it hasn’t slowed down the games.
