The Forgotten Chief
There is a player who used to play for the Chiefs that doesn't seem to get a whole lot of recognition nowadays. This player also happens to be my favorite Chief of all time.
Explosive, game changing, and one of the best special teams players in KC Chiefs history. Follow me after the jump to see who it is.
The X-Factor, The Human Torch and more importantly the Human Joystick. If you do not know who I am referring to, go check the internet.
Seven years before Dwayne Bowe put on the Number 82 (ironically the same year we traded this guy) there was one man that all teams feared at the beginning of each game and each punt because he could take it to the house at anytime.
I am of course referring to Dante Hall.
Selected in the fifth round, Dante Hall didn't have many expectations by critics. KC needed a return man but what they got was one of the greatest in NFL History.
In 426 returns he has 6 TD's, over 10,000 yards (averaging over 23 yards a return). As a WR/RB, he has 1,747 yards on 162 receptions (averaging 10.7 yards). For a situational runner he has 242 yards on 54 carries (4.5 yards a carry).
What makes him my favorite player is that he was dynamic and explosive.
There will never be another Dante Hall. You blink and he is in the endzone.
Show me a returner that can cause people to miss as much as he did. Devin Hester move over.
He may not be remembered by many but even when I am old, I will show my grandchildren his highlights.

Funniest thing ever said by an opposing fan today saying the Chiefs will go 0-16 after their lose to the Lions! It's funny because the Chiefs aren't lucky enough to get Andrew Luck!

want to bring someone back, tyler thigpen 2008 :)
Thigpen Cassel
Games 14 16
Comp % 54.8% 63.4%
Aver Yrds 6.21yrds 7.16 yrds
TD’s 18 21
INT’s 12 11
Fumbles 2 5
Sacks 26 47
Rate 76.0 89.4
what if we kept Thigpen and still got all the same players over the years in draft and even kept a few like Jason Babin, and Alfonzo boone, Waters, J.Allen
at that time our key players where rookies, Charles, dorsey, albert, flowers, carr, and Bowe was a rookie in 2007.
could Chiefs have been a good spread/passing offense with a run game, similar to the Saints, packers of today?
This couldn't happy ya dummy...
We couldn’t keep Jared Allen PLUS Branden Albert…. We picked up Albert with Minnesota’s 1st round pick, that we got from TRADING Jared Allen…. BRILLIANT!
Is JC Jesus Christ or Jamaal Charles? I think they both will be our savior.

To be far...
We traded away Minnesota’s 1st round pick in order to move up 2 spots to take Branden Albert with Detriot’s 1st round pick. =P

Dante Hall, the man who put BrandSmart out of business
They had a promo where if you spent $500 Friday or Saturday, and if the Chiefs ran back the opening kickoff of either half for a TD your purchase was free. He made them pay up on that twice in one season if I remember correctly. And BrandSmart disappeared from existence the next year.
