There is a player who used to play for the Chiefs that doesn't seem to get a whole lot of recognition nowadays. This player also happens to be my favorite Chief of all time.
Explosive, game changing, and one of the best special teams players in KC Chiefs history. Follow me after the jump to see who it is.
The X-Factor, The Human Torch and more importantly the Human Joystick. If you do not know who I am referring to, go check the internet.
Seven years before Dwayne Bowe put on the Number 82 (ironically the same year we traded this guy) there was one man that all teams feared at the beginning of each game and each punt because he could take it to the house at anytime.
I am of course referring to Dante Hall.
Selected in the fifth round, Dante Hall didn't have many expectations by critics. KC needed a return man but what they got was one of the greatest in NFL History.
In 426 returns he has 6 TD's, over 10,000 yards (averaging over 23 yards a return). As a WR/RB, he has 1,747 yards on 162 receptions (averaging 10.7 yards). For a situational runner he has 242 yards on 54 carries (4.5 yards a carry).
What makes him my favorite player is that he was dynamic and explosive.
There will never be another Dante Hall. You blink and he is in the endzone.
Show me a returner that can cause people to miss as much as he did. Devin Hester move over.
He may not be remembered by many but even when I am old, I will show my grandchildren his highlights.
