I actually feel bad for Matt
The guy wants to be good really bad. He gives it his all every week. I think it’s time he accepted the loss of his career as a star quarterback and move on. He keeps being given this role he isn’t livin up to. If someone would just bench him he could get on with his life. Have mercy on Matt and bench the guy.
Guy has a great attitude and work ethic.
Too bad is just isn’t very talented.

Top 10 defense and another trip to the playoffs!

I am a HUGE Cassel fan but face it buddy, you had your 2 seasons of fame. Use that experience and help out Stanzi. Don’t be a Favre and rely on the coaches.

I'd be mad too if two nicely thrown passes just whiffed through my WRs hands and were picked off.
“What the FUUUUUUUUCK!” is an understatement.
Side note: It looks like he’s saying “Oh my FUUUUCK!” or maybe “Come the FUUUCK”… in which case I’d assume that he also said “on”.
Gotta agree
The Urban throw was bad, looked decent when Urban almost had his hands on it

Funny...
I watched Tom Brady throw a pass just behind his TE last Sunday. He caught it no problem.
It’s not that I don’t want to see Cassel replaced, but give credit where it’s due. Cassel hit Urban in the hands with a pass that would have been a 20 yard gain.
It was a good throw. Good enough anyway. General rule should be that if the pass hits the receivers hands and is picked off, the fault should go to the receiver.

Urban was running a hard slant
The ball came out hot, very high, and behind him. Gimme a break

Haha.
Actually I did play in HS. Nice try making a reach like that though.

Cassel is an inaccurate QB.
Always has been. Inaccurate QBs are going to throw more interceptions than accurate QBs. Cassel is going to throw more passes like that than Brady. So, in the end, he is going to have more interceptions.
And that’s why he sucks.
True.
He is not a consistently accurate QB.
But the fact remains that two of the three interceptions thrown should have been caught by Chiefs receivers, and not Lions defenders.
You can spout nonsense about Cassel’s paycheck compared to Urban’s or find reasons to justify why a ball that hits a WRs hands and is intercepted is really the QBs fault all you want.
Mat Cassel is going to have a hard enough time keeping his job without having to resort to blaming WR mistakes on him too. That’s all I’m saying. Try to stay objective about him. He has poor pocket presence, is horribly inconsistent and tends to stare down receivers. He has a very, very low upside, and what we see is likely what we get with him. He’s not likely to get any better than what we’ve seen.
That said, WHEN HE DOES make a good throw, give him credit. To relentlessly drill the guy for EVERY problem with the Chiefs is asinine and unfair. I refuse to vehemently and illogically blame everything on him. Instead I’ll stick just to what he actually needs criticized over.
Bottom line
How much money does Cassel make?
How much money does Urban make?
Who has the greater onus on them to make a perfect play?
