ESPN's Sunday Countdown is up and running and reporter Josina Anderson is in Detroit covering the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions.
Here are a few nuggets from her early morning report:
Jamaal Charles is ready to roll. "Running back Jamaal Charles tells me he's confident he'll have the opportunity to produce against Detroit saying, 'All-Pro Ndamukong Suh puts on his pants just like me and the best thing to do is my speed against his power.'"
Lions defense improved against the run. Anderson notes that they gave up 176 yards to the Bucs last year -- and just 56 last week. They're getting better against the run, which is the Chiefs strength.
Lions looking to exploit Chiefs secondary. "Speaking of Burleson and the wide receivers, they say they're looking to exploit the absence of Eric erry while also looking out for Brandon Flowers. But Burleson says, the best way to congratulate him on his new $50 million contract, is in the end zone."
The crew in the studio, including Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Cris Carter and Keyshawn Johnson, all seem to like what the Detroit Lions are doing and have plenty of questions for the Chiefs. You can see below who the experts from ESPN are picking in this game:
