Scary to think this season lies on Cassel's shoulders...

Sure we need the defense to step up and play some inspired ball for us, but with Eric Berry out we have major issues.  Either we bring someone else in off the streets at SS or we are in a world of hurt.  How do we expect to defend quality TE's or have someone dependable to make the play over the top in coverage?

Problem for the Chiefs is our season rides on Cassel being able to throw accurately further than 15 yards.  Teams seem to have figured out our rushing attack.  That all started after the Raiders game (2nd to last game last season) and the blue-print has been made.

Teams will stack the box and force Cassel to beat them with his arm.  I don't have faith he will be able to do this, but if we want to have any success, he has to.   Cassel should also be worried that if he doesn't perform and the Chiefs go on a epic crash, then he will likely be replaced by a incoming rookie QB like Luck, Barkley or Foles imho.
