This is not the news we wanted to deliver this morning. After leaving yesterday's contest against the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry is reportedly out for the 2011 season with an ACL tear. Jason LaCanfora reports:
Another big blow for the Chiefs: S Eric Berry out for the season with a torn ACL suffered at start of Week 1 loss to Bills.
The Kansas City Chiefs lost TE Tony Moeaki for the year in the final preseason game with another ACL tear. And now they've lost one of their best players in the secondary.
Simply put, this is a huge blow for the Kansas City Chiefs' defense.
Once Berry left the game on Sunday, the Bills' offense ratcheted up the passing game and made the Chiefs' secondary look downright pedestrian.
Much more on this injury as things develop.
