The AP pain is palpable!

Palpable - Adjective. 1. readily or plainly seen, heard, perceived, etc.; obvious; evident.  I start with this definition simply because if you measure a teams fandom by the level of angst after a difficult loss, then the Chiefs have a VERY intense fan base!

Perhaps we can all agree on a few things . . .

Below is a list of things you may personally not be happy with but unless you want this season to turn into a complete rebuilding year, will NOT happen.  Many of you will not like to hear this but:

Bill Muir will continue to be the offensive coordinator and call plays - he needs and deserves time to prove he can do it.  The play calling wasn't horrendous but the execution sure was.  Stay the course.
Cassel is your QB for this season - he will either get better or we're in trouble but unless you're willing to throw in the towel for the season, he is the best shot.  Stay the course.
Haley will be the head coach for the entire season - he has apparently misjudged the preseason needs of his team since they simply were not ready for the opener but he's not going anywhere for now. Stay the course.
Pioli will be the the GM - Wow, the negative comments are really flying for the first time against Pioli.  From the greatest GM to he's blown the last two drafts and can't get the right 53.  Stay the course.

Maybe now that the pain of a horrible loss is subsiding just a bit . . .
Let's give the players a few more weeks to see what they're made of.
Let's give the coaches a few more weeks to see if they can solve some obvious problems.
Let's give Pioli a few more weeks to get everyone on the same page.

I for one am betting the Lions would have rather played us after any other type of game (win or loss) but now the Chiefs have a major chip on their shoulder.  The game next week will show if the Chiefs have any backbone or are ready to fold.

Stay the course for a few more weeks!
