In related news, I wonder what they'd trade us for Toribio?

what shocks me
or I guess shocks isnt the best word(im having an awful week with how I word things)
is the competition, and the 53 man….let me explain my horribly pieced thoughts. Today in haley’s presser he said that toribio has improved, mentioned gales etc….How the heck do we fit all these guys on the roster? I mean seriously, the more I look at the 53 man, the more I see cuts I wouldnt want to make. Toribio is one of those cuts if he has indeed improved…just dont see how he beats out powe or gregg

It's a great problem to have
I’d hate to be the coaches this year and hopefully many, many years to come. There’s going to be some tough cuts, especially at the deeper positions like LB.
oh its an awesome problem to have as a fan, as a coach though, Id hate it for the reason that you have so many cuts that make you want to weep
I wish they would expand rosters

My biggest complaint with roster limits is the gameday one
What’s the point in having to make 8 guys inactive every game? Why can’t your full 53 be available in case you need them?

totally agree with you and dick vermeil
having 8 guys sit there not suited up is just silly.

in fact, I dont think the nfl could give a good reason on why they go with 45.
Its just dumb

I'm pretty sure they'd trade us Ron Edwards for Toribio.

torn triceps sounds real bad
I was once fired from a job two days after I waited on Matt Cassel and his wife Lauren Killian. Totally my AP moment to remember. Unfortunately also one of my stupidest moments.
A little off topic
But this is the exact reason I want us to sign a vet NT who could play. What if this was Gregg?
by Kmillz2525 on Aug 5, 2011 8:33 PM CDT via mobile reply actions 1 recs
name all the ones you know that are available, and can play the Zero in the NFL.
..then you can stop wondering why we haven’t

Everyone screams that Cassels is only average-to-good at best, and why the hell don’t we get the next Tom Brady.
I’m sure they’ll just run down the street to the Dollar Tree and pick one up.
The Chiefs and I have mutually agreed on this decision and although I look forward to continuing my career, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Kansas City.

haley said good things about the progress of toribio today. Im not sayingI want toribio as our NT if gregg goes down....
but im more for my wonderful plan of “convince the pats that their 4-3 doesnt need wilfork, and that wilfork is better fit in KC”….of course that plan has a lot of kinks and wont work during this season

get well ron, and sorry for the annoying surgery, pain and rehab that follows. bleh, this brought down my mood.

yeah I think its overlooked by many the pain from something broken
its just looked at like “oh, sucks for their season, or for the money”…but its like no, it is awful, breaking any bone hurts, the rehab isnt guarenteed to leave you as you were before…its just stressful.
its why when I hear someone say ’oh I wish hed break a leg, or an arm etc" it bothers me so much because as someone who broke a knee…I know that pain, and I wouldnt wish that on anyone I know

Broken bone doesn't hurt as much in the moment.
Especially if it’s a clean long-bone fracture. The agony sets in with the swelling. But a torn muscle hurts NOW.

People in NC rave about their NPR stations
Greensboro and Durham in particular. I lived in Boston a couple years, and it was a really solid station there as well. Surprisingly, NYC has a pretty crappy NPR station. Go figure.
kc is good
so is marfa, texas
just curious, NPR is the shit

Do we have a twitter feed for him?
So we can send him good tidings from old fans?
I feel really bad for the guy and really lucky for us at the same time. What do you expect when they’ve been off for 140 days?
I know they were supposed to stay in shape, but it’s just not the same outside of their normal places, people, and routines. That, plus, how much do you get done working from home? I end up looking at AP and singing classic rock songs to my cat.

yeah thats the one positive, although of course the "then he wouldnt have got injured" argument comes up
at least its not like ron joined a super bowl contender, and had a real shot at winning big games this year.
I know, its not much of a positive, but its something

then he lasts 3 days at practice in carolina
sheesh

it's all about coaches having control of the practices
Oak had a bunch of bad injuries too. That’s why Haley keeps saying they aren’t even up to full training camp status yet because he is easing the guys back into it

Ya, these cart episodes are scary enough as a Chief fan the past 2 days
The Chiefs must really be slowly ramping up their practice level because thankfully, knock on wood, we haven’t had any major issues like this to speak of. After the mass Exodus of weight 2 years ago when Haley got into town I feel comfortable with anything our staff puts our guys thru. They know their shit. And I have full confidence our guys will be ready for week 1 in 5 weeks. I feel for your tricep big Ron, but u got the cash so I don’t feel that bad for you…

This just makes me nervous about the season
The injuries are just going to be brutal.
That is cray-z.
