Tri-X-Factor - Our System Operators

Yes, nearly everyone here at AP can at times be name-called for their red and gold blinders shining beautifully through the computer screen like a 1080p picture, painted clearly and sometimes so damn convincing it looks real - it looks like "Go Chiefs!  Chiefs are the best in the world!" is just popping right off this website like spam.  Windows says...

Are you sure you want to allow these homers to access your brain?  And you choose: allow or don't allow.

This isn't really a homer post.  It's more like virtually testing out an operating system before welcoming or stamping it to your hard drive.  It's like exploring into Linux and having fun with it, then abruptly moving back to Windows when you come to the realization that it's too tough to deal with (it's really not, I'm typing this out on Ubuntu) and disappointing when your driver support is lacking.  In actuality the support here at AP for homers is decent.  The borderline indecent ones are just smartypantses.

What is it we are testing?  Not Operating systems, but System Operators.  You see what I did there?  I've been thinking about what it would take for our team to level up a couple notches and I came up with this.  All for fun, by the way.

Excluding these seven guys (These guys are already expected to play at a high level):

Matt Cassel, Eric Berry, Tamba Hali, Brandon Flowers, Derrick Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, and Jamaal Charles

Pick three guys that you would choose to play Top 5 (in the league) at their position this season.  This Tri-X-Factor will allow our Chiefs to win a lot in 2011.

Here's mine:  Tony Moeaki, Justin Houston, Kelly Gregg

Our wide-out core seems to be very solid.  If Cassel takes another step up in just his 4th season as a starting QB (including college, dis-cluding HS) the WR's will be above average at worst.  Which is a good feeling.  Let's not forget about Tony2.  A Top 5 performance at the TE position would make this offense unstoppable imo.

It's no secret that our 3rd round pick is behind being behind being a rookie entering the lockout and now missing a hand full of practices.  And yes, I said "behind being behind being a rookie", I think it makes sense?  But, if Justin Houston would explode like an egg in a microwave to a Top 5 caliber pass rusher our defense would be real, real tough.

I'm beginning to think that NT is a more important position than the QB to a team that runs a 34.  Does Kelly Gregg have what it takes to be Top 5 at his position in the league?  Well, if he did our defense would become the kind of defense that can stop teams like NE, GB, and IND.  If there's really such a thing. :)

Who do you want our system operating tri-x-factorers to be?
