These Chiefs Players Are Waiting To Practice
If all goes well today, the new collective bargaining agreement will be voted on and approved by the players officially kicking off the new league year. For most of us, the significance of this is that those free agents that have signed new deals and are sitting out of practice can get back into action.
From my count, there are 19 players who have agreed to terms with the Chiefs that can start practicing once this is done. Those players are:
Free agents re-signed to Chiefs: C Casey Wiegmann, S Jon McGraw, CB Travis Daniels, WR Terrance Copper, TE Leonard Pope, OT Ryan O'Callaghan, RB Jackie Battle, LB Tamba Hali (franchise tag) S Reshard Langford (ERFA), Wallace Gilberry (RFA), CB Brandon Carr (RFA), OT Barry Richardson (RFA) and FB Mike Cox (RFA).
New free agents signed: WR Steve Breaston signed from Cardinals; NT Kelly Gregg reportedly signed from Ravens; WR Zeke Markshausen signed off the street; WR Chris Manno signed off the street; FB Le'Ron McClain signed from Ravens; and LB Brandon Siler from the Chargers.
That nearly a quarter of the players on the roster so once these guys get to St. Joe, training camp can really begin.

I don't know Joel
It looks like there is a hold up between the NFLPA and the league concerning Goodell having autonomy in handing out sentences for players violating league rules. This may not get signed anytime soon until there is agreement and ratification of the new CBA.

NFLN just stated that
it is under final review and that there could still be a vote here in an hour. I guess we’ll see.

"This particular individuals name is 'Not Sure'."
Chiefs Revised FA Wish List: True NT and a Solid RT. I'll take McClain too. Say NO to Moss and Owens. Also, pay them: Carr, Flowers and Hali.
What does ERFA stand for? Rashard Langford has that tag

Correct
Guys with two years of experience with an expired contract. They have no negotiating rights.
Meaning that (if I'm correct)
teams need only sign them to minimum terms (1 year contract) to retain their rights

Wow stupid auto-correct and fat fingers...
It’ll be interesting to see if the rumors are true, and the lack of CBA is holding the Huston signing. It’s still stupid that an agent would suggest such a maneuver (and likely there are ulterior reasons). If there is a CBA a Huston isn’t signed, means we have a serious problem.

Does anyone know who much the RFA tenders are worth?
I would assume the contract value goes up based on the amount of compensation demanded. Just wondering if it is a set scale or open for negotiation.

Is KC done?
Or do you see them going out and finding an RT and another ILB?

I doubt it
If they wanted him back, he’d probably already be re-signed.
How much of Hali's contract
affects the cap this year?
i think just whatever he gets actually paid this year
salary, bonus, etc.
CHIEFS DYNASTY – we’re kind of a big deal
Yeah id say this is a big deal lol
We have 6 or 7 starters there and a couple key rotation guys slash special teams starters.
