Practice
Tedy Bruschi was asked if players want to win in pre-season. He said: "Of Course, especially that 3rd game." One or Two wins is fine with Tedy. Bob Gretz sent out his roster prediction via CBS Sports and it was reported here by kc571 in the fan shots. What exactly did the Kansas City Chiefs glean from the St. Jo training camp and the 3 games of pre-seaon football played to date?
What and who did the Chiefs find (per Bob's selections) to add to what the Chiefs had last year? In most years, the starters remain starters if re-signed and not injured. In most years, the key Free Agent signings stick if not injured. In most years, the draft picks make the opening day roster. According to Bob, our 7th round pick FB Shane Bannon is cut and sent to the practice squad.
Brandon Siler tore up his Achilles tendon and is done for the year. Interesting link on injuries per rotoworld.
- Did the Chiefs determine if Palko or Stanzi can fill in if Cassel is hurt?
- Did the Chiefs figure out the five starters on the Offensive Line?
- Was a street FA the answer at Tight end?
- and many more?

50 players, with little change in the actual starting lineup. The Chiefs churn rate has happily dropped considerably since the 2009 bloodshed.
Dion Gales, Butch Lewis, and Keary Colbert. We sure did a lot of evaluating this pre-season to glean this 2011 crop. Wow, maybe the only real thing the team learned was how to overcome a coaching staff that was not coaching to win.

No kidding
and that’s without Nick Fairly and Kyle Vanden-Bosch. Hope the Chiefs get some things figured out on that OL quick (and Cassel takes a cue from Peyton and releases the ball {*much*} faster), or our offense is in trouble.
If Stafford has time to throw our D could be in trouble too. Great time to re-asses Stude’s starting role….

another question?
I see some trade possibilities in the LB and DL groups.
Would Pioli trade someone for a 3rd or 4th when we have some players that might fill in for us just as well?
Yawn
Boring Saturday night.
Top 10 defense and another trip to the playoffs!

I missed most of the starters playing in NE vs DET
Don’t really care to watch their fringe players.
I do have some fantasy research to do, though…

I think all of our questions will be answered, just not in our timeframe (like, you know ... right now!)
rather at a future time and date …
Did the Chiefs determine if Palko or Stanzi can fill in if Cassel is hurt?

Did the Chiefs figure out the five starters on the Offensive Line?

Was a street FA the answer at Tight end?

of course, this will leave everyone asking …
hey Ups, when are we gonna know???
that will be TBA …

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Well that sounds dangerously like an MNChiefsfan stance!
(one which I’ve been taking as well. impossible to tell much of anything yet)
The Chiefs and I have mutually agreed on this decision and although I look forward to continuing my career, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Kansas City.
Questions?
My two biggest concerns are with the OC situation and the WR corps. The NFL channel did an interesting little item a couple of days ago. Since Weiss ANNOUNCED he was leaving the Chiefs, our offense has declined at an alarming rate. Ranking pre-season stats to date, the Chiefs are dead last in the league in total offense. By the way, we’ve scored just TWO TD’s in three games, both by sub units. My two biggest fears are that the Chiefs either leave the OC situation as it is, or that Haley takes over the OC position in addition to HC duties. Maybe we need to get Green out of the announcing booth & into the coaching room?
My second concern lies with the WR corps. There is absolutely no depth behind the “3 B’s”, Bowe, Baldwin, and Breaston. Urban has been unimpressive, there was a very good reason why Colbert was out of the league, and as for Tucker, I saw him drop two balls against the Rams. If Baldwin isn’t back in the game next week, we have a big problem here. We need to be talking with NE about Brandon Tate.
Who is calling the games?
Bill Muir? I thought it was Haley.
Our Offensive line come Buffalo may very well be
Gaither Lilja Weigmann Asamoah Albert
with Bowe and Colbert as the starting WR’s
who really knows except by where we are told everyone is practicing and not all practices are open to viewing anyways. Could explain the lack of cohesion

meh, not at all sold on Gaither yet ... esp starting
not sold on Colbert, either … why not start Breaston opposite Bowe?
