A lot of power rankings and team reviews have been showing teams like the cowboys and the chargers ahead of us. I just wonder, looking at both the boys and the bolts and comparing their schedules and rosters to ours; what are they seeing that i dont? Blinders off, they both look like lesser teams with pretty strong schedules as well.

The Chargers are still a very very good team
Philip Rivers is vastly superior to Cassel and having that franchise QB goes a LONG ways.
Cowboys I agree, I don’t see them being very good.
+1
Rivers is good, but they lost a lot of pieces this offseason and added older replacements. The Coboys, I’ll never understand the love affair that many in the media have with them. The Cowboys remind me of the Raiders in that they have a lot of talented players, but no real leadership.
Romo is healthy again and their new coach finished the year 5-3
having said that, I fully expect Romo to get hurt again this year, Dez Bryant to cause a rift in the locker room, and Garrett to be on the hot seat at the end of the season.
agreed on all accounts
that young oline looks scary ..
How the hell did that happen? I am Trailblazer fan to the core but I love me some OKC THunder!!! Must be the Hometown pride I feel.
I'll Say it now so you guys can know I'm a true follower: "In Pioli I Trust"
Go Chiefs!!!!!

Let me put it this way
comparing the Chargers and Chiefs
QB: Chargers >>>>>>>>> Chiefs
HB: Chargers <<<<<<< Chiefs
FB: Chargers > or = Chiefs
WR’s: Chargers > Chiefs
TE’s Chargers > Chiefs
Oline: Chargers > Chiefs
Dline: Chargers > Chiefs
LBers: Chargers < Chiefs
DB’s: Chargers < or = Chiefs
K/P: Chargers > Chiefs
ST: Chargers < Chiefs
BOOM!
Meh...
Coaching: Chargers <<<<< Chiefs
And our defensive line, wideouts, and offensive our not that far behind and have the potential to pass the Chargers in preformance this year depending on young players and the health of Gregg and Gaither.
Plus...
we got better depth. So yeah, it really comes down to the QB and their hall of fame TE. Maybe its enough for them to beat us, but we are capable of beating them. Its not like Cassel and Moeaki are complete scrubs.
point is they are just an all around better team
their QB is one of the best in the league and their defense is crushing. Not an easy combination to deal with
BOOM!
Liguet vs. Dorsey —> Dorsey
Garay vs. Gregg —> Gregg if healthy
Jackson vs. Castillo —> Castillo by a mile
Phillips vs. Hali —> Hali by a mile
Spikes vs. DJ —> I’m taking the athleticism of DJ
? vs. Belcher/Siler —> I just give it to them, I know they drafted a couple ILBs high last 2 yrs although I’m not high on either
English vs. Studebaker/Houston —> Weak spot for both teams, we have higher potential
Cason vs. Carr —> Carr by a smidge
Jammer vs. Flowers —> Flowers
Sanders vs. Berry —> Berry
Weddle vs. Lewis —> Weddle
So they got us at LDE, SILB, and FS. They have a new defensive coordinator who is ok, but Rivera was by far better. And our we ascending, while they are plateauing.
As of now, the Chargers are the better team.
If you feel otherwise, you should bet on the Chiefs to win the division.
The Chargers are the clear favorites at -190.
The Chiefs are 2nd at +350
Followed by the Raiders at +450 and Broncos at +1200.
To translate, you have to bet $190 to win $100 on SD. For the Chiefs, if you bet just $100, you win $350.
So Vegas agrees heartily with the Power Rankings difference. I do think the Chiefs have some value at +350, but they’re pretty substantial underdogs.
