Hmmm...Jerrell Powe 40 time betwee 5.27 - 5.29
that must be what they mean by game speed.
Team Berry
Team Burfict or Team Te'O
...if I cant have the next Ray Lewis...ill settle for the next Junior Seau.
Le’ron McClain might be to Christian Okoye what Tamba Hali is to Derrick Thomas.

that gets a "rec" from me
as Haley said, though… Powe was out of position, so it would have been much better to see that same tackle near the LOS instead of 20yds downfield
That being said, he WAS eating a double team, and he did hustle…and nearly outrun Justin Houston… so, it’s a net-positive
double team?
Looked likea triple team to me and then the RB came up and got a chip block on him as well
You can't be fat and fast, too; so lift, run, diet and work.

At first it was C/LG and then the RB came up to chip him on the outside edge
That chip was what resulted in Powe being pushed so far out of position (he was eating a triple team for christ’s sake!). Once the LG released to help out the LT, Powe was able to get free of his blockers and start trucking it downfield. Great hustle by Powe and a good job demanding the double at the line, even if it was against 2nd and 3rd string OL.
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...
Anyone else like the Powned part?
I will type this every time Powe makes a play
BOOM!

Technically... the actual term is "pwned", so "Powned" works quite well.
And I literally laughed out loud. That was hilarious.
A nightmare of an O-line: Gaither, Lilja, Weigmann/Hudson, Asamoah, Albert. Ready to welcome a future Chiefs cheerleader to the family!
If you really want to get technical,
the term is “pwn3d”. So “Powned” or “Pown3d” would work.
Powe is such an awesome guy and a real workhorse. Y’all got a great pickup with him this year.

Just saw that this was already addressed below. Apologies.

I take it your a Rebel?
do you have any recommendations for us to watch this year?
CHIEFS DYNASTY – we’re kind of a big deal
On our team?
Kentrell Lockett (DE) is a force on the field and a real team leader. He’s a 6th year senior and demands a lot of attention on his side of the field.
Charles Sawyer is going to be a hell of a cornerback this year, he’s one to keep an eye on.
And Brandon Bolden is one of the most underrated running backs in the SEC if not the nation. He’s an every down back, strong as an ox but plenty fast and quick to boot. He’s probably going to break several rushing records at Ole Miss this year. I realize y’all don’t have too much need here with Charles and company, but he’s going to be a great pro prospect.

Nah, "Powned" is the proper adaptation of "pwned" imo

the original slang term is "pwned" afaik
so adding one letter is better than adding a letter, removing a letter and adding an apostrophe imo.
Pwned + Jerrell Powe = “Powned”
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...
actually you are ALL wrong....its pwn3d.
it was originally l33t speak.

Actually
“pwned” came from “owned” being typoed.
The 3 was later added by d-bags.

This is correct.
Everything following was just ironic intentional bastardizations.
‘pwned’ = typo’d “owned” in online pc gaming / MUD’s / etc
The Chiefs and I have mutually agreed on this decision and although I look forward to continuing my career, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Kansas City.
huh
I believe the NFL Lockout will effect my view of the NFL for the next 10 years. If the Chiefs win a Super Bowl earlier than that all will be well in my opinion.

Same with 'teh', for 'the'
Top 10 defense and another trip to the playoffs!
Tamba Hali, NFL Sack Leader, 2011
Powe is the man.
Y’all got a good one with him. Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought the whole powned/pwned/powend thing was clever.

A tackle 20 yards downfield doesn't impress me.
Although eating up a triple team while still pushing the line back… that’s impressive.
The tackle doesn't impress me, but the motor and determination not to give up on the play do.
A nightmare of an O-line: Gaither, Lilja, Weigmann/Hudson, Asamoah, Albert. Ready to welcome a future Chiefs cheerleader to the family!
The helmet flying off makes it impressive enough.
And I loved how all his teammates came running over to make sure he was still breathing.
"What we need is......more cowbell." - C. Walken
this was hilarious! I especially love the funeral dirge...
I like the idea of a NT who can hustle that far and still make the play – I promise you Ron Edwards would have watched the last part of that play.
Cameron Sheffield almost had the sack on that one.
He was a hand-length away.
Kinda reminds me of Cody on Jamaal in the playoffs last year
Predictions:
KC will be a Superbowl favorite in 2012
Oh man.
I thought Charles was going to die.
Awesome video. Hilarious.

nah
I don’t think it would even hurt if Cody was on top of you. He’s so sloppy fat that his big flab tummy would squoosh around you and support him from the ground. Of course, you could suffocate from inflabation or something.

I replayed this at least a half dozen times on friday/saturday via dvr
Big boy can MOVE when he needs to, not often you see a DL of his size run down a guy like Johnson.

Yeah?
Well he’s no Kelly Gregg :)

Hey Joel, why did my last rely to bfett81 get removed?
are questions against AP rules?
...the fair-weather fan seldom comprehends the value of faith or will combined with the requirements necessary of goal accomplishment: attention to a plan's details, personal fortitude developed from a consistent quality work ethic, and strengthening of character and faith, are all sweaty, time-consuming, attributes which "the sky is falling" fair-weather fan interprets as rain on their parade...

Powned after a 20 yard run?
I think opposing teams will be fine being powned
You can't live that American dream on foot, bro. Aint nobody riding horses no more.

I figured it was more about the brutal tackle he made after closing the gap.
It looked pretty uncomfortable when Johnson’s helmet his the turf.

do you just comment to say something negative or to throw water on whatever people are talking about?
the guy saved a TD by making that play
if its the regular season and we win by under 5…or if its the regular season and we end up taking the darn ball away, id say that powe tackle would be huge
we get it, you only would be happy if it was a TFL….powe couldnt make the play behind the LOS, and outran and freaking LB to make the play
give credit where its due
otherwise, you must not value effort
Team Pioli/Haley. Decade of the Chiefs.
Team Colquitt
Watching a 300+lb DL run 20+ yards downfield to make a TD saving tackle in an area that isn't his primary responsibility......
priceless.

That's a whole load of Don't give up on a Play by the BIG man !!!
Love the Clip work ( & the fact we were able to practice our Trade Mark" Goal Line Shut Out" Thanks to the Pown(d)r !!!)…
You can see it in his eyes!
You can tell he is just locked on the QB, probably thinking about how hard he was going to tackle him.
He knew at the 25 yardline he was gonna make the highlight reel.

It's really just like an awesome drawn out sack with like 6 personal foul penalties tacked on when you think about it
we'll take it

I think there should be something like a golf handicap
If you weigh more than 300 lbs, sacks should still count 20 yards downfield.

If any of you...
Post on any Ole Miss boards spread this around! I would love for Ole Miss fans to see this.
This is freaking hilarious
Incredibly creative and well done. And freaking hilarious (in case you were in doubt).
i laughed i cried .. ...
i thank you …. recupus!
How the hell did that happen? I am Trailblazer fan to the core but I love me some OKC THunder!!! Must be the Hometown pride I feel.
I'll Say it now so you guys can know I'm a true follower: "In Pioli I Trust"
Go Chiefs!!!!!
If you ignore the first 1:06 of that video...
it’s pretty cool.
While it’s impressive that Powe ran him down, it’s pretty embarrassing that the backup QB was able to avoid our pass rush, run past a defender who was in position, and make the secondary and linebackers seem like the last kids picked in the neighborhood game.
