Bring on the Favre!

PrintI say ditch Palko and bring in Brett Favre to be a great second stringer and help mold the new guy Stanzi!
We all know Stanzi is a stud gunslinger, kind of like Favre.
We know he's a rookie and needs some guidance and only another stud quarterback in his prime would know how to handle Stanzi. We could bring in Brett, sell more Chiefs tickets, like we did with Joe Montana, create some excitement, pump everybody up!
Come on, if we do make it to the playoffs, and something happens to Cassell, couldn't you see Brett Favre in there?
No interceptions of course.

Haley’s mantra of “don’t turn the ball over” is as anti-Favre in philosophy as it gets.
This doesn’t even qualify as a pipe dream.
The Chiefs and I have mutually agreed on this decision and although I look forward to continuing my career, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Kansas City.

Favre is done….leave it alone.
If Haley was going to bring in an old QB for one last hoorah it would be Warner. (If Cassel does go down this season bet Todd dosn’t make this call). Even if Cassel doesn’t go down I would count out a Warner sighting around Haley or chatting up our guys.

besides, Fanshots are for “short rumors” and “facts” not bizarre speculative theory … it should be a “comment” in a Stanzi post ;-)

I don’t want Favre, but it’s a gaping hole…if it’s Favre or Palko/Stanzi at #2, yeah, I’d take Favre.
True it is a hole but
I’d rather have Stanzi or Palko than Favre. Favre is overrated in my opinion.
Yeah...no...
Favre is overrated, for sure. But if your life depended on it, and you needed a QB to start week 12 home vs. Pitt after an injury to Cassel the week before @ NE…you’d be crazy to pick Palko or Stanzi over Favre.
I’m no Favre fan, but he gives the team a better chance to win than Palko or Stanzi.
That said, the even better option is a different vet backup that would be less of a distraction. Jake Delhomme was mentioned, and would be a fine choice.

yeah lets bring in Favre and put more pressure on Matt Cassel. If Matt Cassel have one bad game with Favre as a backup than everybody in the media and some chiefs fans will be on the lets put Favre in bandwagon.

It’d be kind of like going over to the Eagle’s blog and posting an article saying how Vick is okay and all, but they should really see if they can dump him to bring in Kerry Collins to start in front of Vince Young.

I love this blog. A good friend of mine is a chiefs fan, so I use this place to attempt to maintain a bit of an understanding of whats happening in KC. I’d consider KC my AFC team.
I wish Carl Peterson would get off AP. It's over Carl, quit posting stuff with the intent of only filling seats....jeesh ;)
