Burger King or Soup Nazi

Looking at the Chiefs in free agency we all have our own wishes. There are those that want McClain. We also have those that want/wanted Franklin. The list goes on and on. I do understand that this is a free discussion forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Unfortunately this isn't Burger King where we can get everything "Our Way".

It's more like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.

We all have our opinions about who we should draft or pick up. So does Scott Piolli. Elaine had an opinion about the soup and what could be changed. So did the Soup Nazi. His soup was loved by many and no one dared to challenge his recipes. When Elaine did, she was banned. Piolli has a proven formula that has been working for several years now. I'm not saying we shouldn't discuss/argue over who we think the Chiefs should get, but I think we can at least trust in the fact that Piolli has a proven recipe for success and we are watching it mature right in front of our eyes. Granted it isn't immediate and to all of our liking. That's because it's not Burger King.

Good things take time to mature. We don't need to go out and spend big money on free agents just because we can. Look how well that's work out for the Raiders and Cowboys. The Patriots have been winners for what seems like forever and have been doing it primarily with good solid players and coaches. Granted, they do have Brady, but no one knew he was going to do what he has done. Occasionally they pick up a big name, but for the most part it has been putting solid players in the right positions for the right price.

So be excited Chiefs fans! We may not have everything we want immediately, but we do have our Soup Nazi who has brought his proven formula to KC and is creating a monster one little piece at a time.
