Savvy old Vet, Marc Bulger, as back-up QB in the Chief's Kingdom?

Of all the talk about free agency, we discuss back-up/competition for Matt Cassell less than any other priority. We do not even know if this is a position of need to the front office, but most speculate that Brodie Croyle has played his last downs in the NFL. Many feel Marc Bulger has something left in the tank and word is he wants a starting spot on some roster. While having an ability for the position, he is seen, in my eyes, as a really good back-up.

A little ground work or recent backdrop on him is he was last on the Raven's roster, and whom Coach Jim Zorn has a very good understanding of. Also, Bulger has let it be known that he wants to play close to his home in St. Louis. The Vikings are mentioned as a possible landing spot where he could start and mentor their rookie for a season. While this is a possibility, his age and injury history indicates a better fit as a savvy veteran presence on an ascending team such as our Chief's.

Could it be we snag him? Will Coach Zorn advocate for him? It seems like a very good fit and an upgrade for our team. And as many here know I have been on the Matt Cassell bandwagon since we traded for him. The problem is that he takes some big hits, and cross our fingers-hasn't been hurt badly as of yet. Still a capable veteran on the roster looks like a no brainer to me, and Zorn's affiliation with him may be the deciding factor here. What say you? Go Chief's!!!!
