How good does it feel to say that the Kansas City Chiefs are taking the field for their first practice of the 2011-12 season?

The Chiefs are up in St. Joe taking in their first practice of the year at Missouri Western State University. I won't get up there until Saturday but I can tell Chiefs fans are already in full force.

Bob Fescoe of 610 Sports wrote via Twitter that GM Scott Pioli walked out to cheers when he stepped onto the practice field. But, remember, it's free agency time, so he also heard this:

One fan just yelled go sign Franklin to Pioli

That sounds about right.
