Another Chiefs Draft Pick In: Ricky Stanzi Reportedly Agrees To Terms

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Chiefs have reached an agreement with fifth round pick QB Ricky Stanzi. The deal runs for four years and totals $2.2 million, according to a report from National Football Post.

Stanzi becomes the second Chief to agree to terms (at least going off of the media reports) behind seventh round pick Yale FB Shane Bannon

Though the Chiefs have yet to have a practice with Stanzi, NFP reports he's already No. 2 on the depth chart.

He's currently listed as the No. 2 quarterback on the Kansas City depth chart behind Matt Cassel and in front of Tyler Palko.

It'll either be the No. 2 or No. 3. Currently, the Chiefs have QB Matt Cassel and QB Tyler Palko so we'll see where he is at the end of camp -- behind or ahead of Palko. QB Brodie Croyle is an unrestricted free agent.

GM Scott Pioli said earlier this week that with the new set-up with how rookies get paid the negotiations are a little more cut and dry. He also said it's reasonable for the Chiefs to get all nine draft picks into camp on time.

So far, we know of two down.
