Quick Hit: My Two Favorite UDFAs

Stay connected for news and updates

I'm going to make this short a sweet. Here are two undrafted free agents that I would love the Chiefs to take a close look at...

Vai Taua (Nevada)

Coming off a season with 1610 yards and 19 TDs, Taua should be one of the first UDFAs to get signed. and just in case you’re thinking, "Well, he played in a mid-major, so his numbers are skewed..." Ok, lets take a look at what he did against top competition in 2010...

Cal - 151 yards and 1 TD

BYU - 133 yards and 1 TD

Boise State - 131 and 1 TD

This dude doesn’t shy away from tough competition. He is extremely durable, and most of the scouting reports I’ve read about Taua say he is tough and hard working. He could be a nice compliment to Jamaal Charles once Thomas Jones calls it a career.

DeAndre McDaniel (Clemson)

He had a banner year in 2009 when he had 98 tackles and 8 INTs. In 2010, he had 75 tackles and 4 INTs. In the 2010 Meineke Car Care Bowl, he had 12 tackles. The dude is only 5'9, but he should’ve been drafted. He was obviously overlooked due to his size, but I’d take a flyer on him. maybe he can be a badass special teamer? And with Jon McGraw likely on his way out, the Chiefs shouldn’t shy away from signing special teamers.
