To those readers who have stuck with us through the NFL lockout, we thank you. To those readers who are just now coming back, welcome back.
Football is back, baby. The NFL players approved the new labor agreement with the owners meaning the NFL lockout is over. There are still some procedural things the players need to do -- like recertification -- but the story of the day is that the lockout is over and football is back.
It's been a long, long offseason for everyone. The new deal is 10 years and there is no opt out so that means it'll be a decade before we start talking about the Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals blocking a lockout. Thank goodness.
It's back but there's not much time for celebrating. Free agency, training camp and even trades will be starting up this week. We should hear an official timeline of the re-opening of the league's doors soon.
Wow. Does this feel good or what?
