So here's the specifics of the deal. My youngest daughter, a die-hard Chief's Fan, dates a Donkey fan. I know, I know but his dad grew up in Colorado so at least he's true to his roots (which I can somewhat respect plus he's good to her and doesn't is not allowed to wear orange when he goes to Arrowhead with us). The target is that his grandparents just went to a nursing home and while cleaning out their basement, they came across a football. But not just any football. A 1973 Kansas City Chief's team autographed football. With five hall-of-famer's that signed it in addtion to about 35 other guys and Coach Stram. Seems that his grandfather was ill in a KC Hospital and someone got him the ball signed as a get well wish.
Now the trade after the jump
I figured no good trade ever gets done without something in it for everyone. So i pose you this AP faithful (and I'm looking at you too j-man): Do i give up my Derrick Thomas autographed football for the '73 Team? Keep in mind I'm damn near 50 and I can remember that team from my early fandom years. Not fair to a Denver Fan you say? How about if the same football DT signed was ALSO signed by John Elway? Enough to sway the boy? Voting is now open. Later when the trade is proposed, I will let you all in on what happened (with pics of both just to back up my story).
Poll
Would you trade a DT and Elway autographed football for a KC '73 team ball?
