Chiefs Rookie Prepares For Training Camp On His Own

Stay connected for news and updates

The video above comes from the Oregonian and it chronicles Kansas City Chiefs rookie Gabe Miller. It's obviously a strange offseason for rookies as some of them are working out at their colleges (like Miller) as they await the end of the NFL lockout.

Here are a few quotes from Miller in the video above:

-"Since then I've been working out as if I'm in college still."

-"My responsibility is to just stay ready as I can for when I do get that call because I know once it happens I'm going to have to be in the best shape of my life. I'm going to be ready from day one to get in there and fight for a position."

-"In this scenario all rookies are a little bit behind where they typicall are because they haven't had time to get in there and learn anything in the play book."

-"I'm just anxious and ready to get out there and get back to football. It's probably the longest offseason I've ever hard."
