Player for Player Trade
This little nugget (above) says that the Eagles are hoping to trade Kolb for impact veteran players. This will be very interesting to watch as these kinds of trades just don't seem to happen in the NFL.
Here's a neat link to NFL trades of 2009 and 2010. There are more player for player trades than I thought but most are small time trades, not marquee players. Of course, probably the most interesting to us is Brady Quinn for Peyton Hillis (and draft picks). I also thought the Jets trading Stucki and about a hundred picks for Braylon Edwards was kind of dramatic at the time. I never knew about it until now, but I think that nondescript little trade of a CB for a QB (John Beck) is interesting.

That really is an interesting proposition because you really don't see players traded for other players that often anymore.
At least not high profile ones. Occasionally somebody gets thrown in on a trade that turns out well (Kyle Orton was basically just a bonus in the Cutler trade) or two lower profile players are traded and one proceeds to break out (like Peyton Hillis in the Brady Quinn trade), but I can’t think of the last time that a player like Kolb was traded primarily for another player instead of picks. Clinton Portis for Champ Bailey, maybe?
I'd trade for Adrian Wilson if I'm any freaking team in the NFL
is why the Cards will never trade him
BOOM!
the Eagles wouldn't need him
they still need to re-sign Quintin Mikell…
Maybe they’ll take Donovan McNabb and Albert Haynsworth for Kolb…
McNabb seems to want to go back. Haha
This is interesting though…

I don't think the Eagles are all that interested in bringing back Mikell, or thats the fans thought process

I suppose, I don't know to much about their situation.
Though it would seem silly to trade out your QB and not re-sign your excellent young safety.
For another excellent safety. Maybe that is just me.

Supposedly they are high on the one they drafted, along with Nate Allen coming back from injury
They believe they are set at the Safety position and not really wanting to dump a lot of money into it

I smell a Kevin Kolb for Albert Haynesworth + a 2nd (or two 3rd) rounder(s)
The skins need a QB, and the Eagles need a DT.
The skins don’t want Haynesworth at all, and would be happy to move his contract.
The Eagles think Kolb has first round value….

That would be a terrible trade for the Eagles.
Even if Philly absolutely loves Haynesworth and doesn’t have any concerns about him (and, honestly, how could you not have concerns?) there’s a pretty good chance he’ll end up cut rather than traded. Plus they would be trading a 2nd potential franchise quarterback to a division rival. It worked out well for them the first time, but that’s no guarantee that Kolb wouldn’t go on to become a stud for the Redskins. And he’s not at the tail end of his career like McNabb is. If he ends up panning out, he could end up tormenting the Eagles twice a year for the next decade.
