Is this a contract year for Cassel?
I know he signed that 6 year contract, but I know that after this season, the salary drops quite a bit. If Cassel shows more improvement this year, I have a hard time believing we're going to pay the guy leading the team less than we did when he was at his worst. If Cassel DOESN'T improve, he's expendable. Not saying we should get rid of him, just pointing out the fact that he could easily be cut or put on the bench if he doesn't live up to expectations after this season.

No I don't think he will receiver another contract
He got most of his money already just because the $ decreases doesn’t mean he didn’t get paid nor does it mean you need to up his salary

That was the beauty of the contract
Should he continue to improve, we’ll have money to spend elsewhere because it’s not tied up in a quarterback.
The contract escalates after 2012, he’ll have to work to stay the QB as he is owed more money in 2013 and 2014.
Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.
