Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles has been tweeting about his flag football tournament coming up in Port Arthur, Texas this weekend. It costs $200 to register a team for the 8-on-8 tournament.
Here's a little more on the tourney:
Seattle Seahawks defensive back Earl Thomas, a West Orange-Stark High School graduate, will be on hand as will Danny Gorrer and James Johnson, both Port Arthur natives who have played in the NFL.
The tournament is 8-on-8 and the winning team gets $1,000, a trophy and a T-shirt. The second place team also gets a T-Shirt.
And here's more on Charles' foundation.
My question to you is: What would be the dream flag football team using NFL players?
Here's mine: QB Michael Vick, QB Peyton Manning, RB Chris Johnson, RB Jamaal Charles, WR Calvin Johnson, WR Larry Fitzgerald, WR Wes Welker and TE Tony Gonzalez.
Yes, forget defense. These guys are athletic enough to play both ways. Vick would be a killer flag footballer considering his athleticism but I'd keep Manning on the team to give myself another option.
What's your dream 8-on-8 flag football team?
