Chiefs Take Short Drive To K-State RB Daniel Thomas' Workout

Stay connected for news and updates
The Kansas City Chiefs are only a short two-hour drive (or faster if you speed) away from Manhattan, Kan. so they took in Kansas State Wildcats RB Daniel Thomas' workout this week.

Thomas was injured for much of the pre-draft process, including K-State's pro day earlier this month, so it was the first opportunity for him to show what he can do without pads on.

Thomas ran a 4.6 40-yard dash which is a solid number for him. He ran for over 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns last year and over 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns the year before. He stands 6'0" and weights 230 pounds.

The Chiefs were among several teams watching him work out at the K-State facilities this week. Others there included the St. Louis Rams, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, among others.

Thomas is expected to be drafted in the second or third round.
