For those of you that love NCAA Basketball, please continue.

I never was really into College Basketball until I hit High School. Now I live for the Madness that is March and trying to decipher the science that is Bracketology (I'm terrible at it, years of practice has netted me zero wins in the online/office pools).

Ironically, years of practice has netted Mike Alden a similar return when finding a Coach for Mizzou's Basketball program.

Today I learned that Alden has selected Miami "The U" Hurricanes ex Coach, Frank Haith, as the heir apparent over Mike Anderson. I say "ex" because Haith was about to be fired for going 129-101 in seven seasons, and producing several appearances in the NIT (Not In Tournament)...not exactly the kind of stats people get excited about.

But not me. No. I'm thrilled. Because for once, maybe Alden will finally get the credit he's due and get the official BOOT out of MU.

Mike Alden' ability to find successful basketball coaches rivals only Al Davis. I'm sure the rest of the Big XII is breathing a sigh of relief. With the financial means to procure just about any top tier (top 15) coaching talents in the nation, Alden has yet again named another underachieving successor to what already was an underachieving successor.

Lightning Mike strikes again.

What do you fans, both MU and KU alike, think about this hire? Also, who do you have in tonight's game? I'm pulling for Brad Stevens and the Bulldogs...but Walker and UConn have been walking all over this tournament. I'm looking forward to a good game!

Long live the Underdog
