Wow. Talk about news you did not expect to hear on a Monday. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that Kansas City Chiefs LB Mike Vrabel was arrested and booked into the Switzerland County Jail in Vervay, Indiana at 5:28 a.m. and released at 10:39 a.m.
The charge is theft, according to the report.
The charge, under Indiana law, is a Class D felony. LaPine had no information regarding the thing that was allegedly stolen. In Indiana, theft of anything, regardless of value, is a Class D felony. It carries a sentence of six months to three years in prison.
There are no more details but the incident occurred at the Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana.
Wow. As usual, there will likely be another side to the story.
Vrabel is on the NFLPA's executive committee and has been vocal in his support of the players in the current labor dispute.
