With the 118th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs have drafted Colorado CB Jalil Brown. You're probably more familiar with his better known cornerback teammate, Jimmy Smith, who went No. 27 overall to the Ravens.

NFL Draft Scout has the 6'1", 204 pound senior rated as their 15th best cornerback.  He runs a 4.52 40-yard dash and was projected to go in the third to fourth round of the draft.

Check out some video highlights here

Brown was not on our Chiefs draft interests list, which has been consistent with a number of picks so far. He was a team captain in 2010 for the Buffaloes.

My immediate reaction is...I don't know anything about the guy. I'm digging and checking out the Ralphie Report, our Buffaloes blog.

The Kansas City Chiefs draft picks so far in the 2011 NFL draft are WR Jonathan Baldwin, C Rodney Hudson, LB Justin Houston, DE Allen Bailey and now CB Jalil Brown. The Chiefs next picks are:

  • Round 5, Pick 4 (135) (From Denver through Tampa Bay)
  • Round 5, Pick 9 (140) (From Detroit)
  • Round 6, Pick 34 (199) (Compensatory Selection)
  • Round 7, Pick 20 (223)

Quick reactions to the pick? Make sure you vote.
