Well, we just finished up our community mock draft at Niners Nation. We, unfortunately, only did the first two rounds. Anyway, I wanted to stop by and get your thoughts on the direction I went. After the jump I will post my selections, along with some of what was going through my mind at the time.
Just as a reminder, this is the "Big Board" that I had going into this thing:
1. Ryan Kerrigan, OLB/DE, Purdue
2. Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA
3. Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State
4. Muhammad Wilkerson, DT/DE, Temple
5. Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin
6. Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor
7. Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia
1. Jerrel Powe, NT, Ole Miss
2. Stefen Wisniewski, C, Wisconsin
3. Rodney Hudson, C, Florida State
4. Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland
5. Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh
6. Sam Acho, DE/OLB, Texas
7. Titus Young, WR, Boise State
21. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS - Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State
When Ryan Kerrigan went of the board at 16, I decided to go ahead and select Derek Sherrod at 21. While Akeem Ayers appears higher on the "Big Board", I didn't plan to take him, as I liked the chances of Sam Acho being around at 55. Ayers ended up going at 20 any way, so, that took care of that. Had Sherrod been taken prior to my pick, I would have had a rather difficult choice to make from a trio consisting of Wilkerson, Carimi, and Taylor, all of whom seemed to have pretty even support here at Arrowhead Pride, with both Wilkerson and Taylor having loud detractors. Luckily, that situation was avoided, and my pick was fairly easy to make.
23 (55). KANSAS CITY CHIEFS - Sam Acho, DE/OLB, Texas
I decided soon after the second round began that Sam Acho would most likely be my pick. I was actually torn between selecting Acho or Hudson, and am still thinking about whether I made the right choice on the matter. I was pretty much thinking OLB/DE or C the whole way. Three WRs made the "Big Board", but all were gone before my second pick, and I probably wouldn't have taken one anyway.

You can see the full results of the mock at Niners Nation. Some of the picks were, well, strange. I've attached a poll, but would prefer actual responses to the question posed, so as to gain some insight into the community's outlook, for future reference. So, be sure to vote and, if you get around to it, post a comment expanding upon why you voted the way you did.
