Just over 24 hours from now we will know the Kansas City Chiefs 2011 regular season schedule. The NFL has confirmed the schedule will be released on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. (Arrowhead time). NFL Network and ESPN will carry schedule release specials but the whole thing will be shown on NFL.com.

Unfortunately, overall interest in the NFL is down so folks aren't as giddy about this as they normally are. We don't have much non-lockout news anymore so I'll take all the schedule talk I can get.

We already know the Chiefs 2011 opponents which include:

Home opponentsSan Diego ChargersOakland RaidersDenver BroncosBuffalo BillsGreen Bay PackersMiami DolphinsMinnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Road opponents: San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos, Chicago BearsDetroit LionsNew England PatriotsNew York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.

The schedule release will tell us when the Chiefs are playing those games. We'll also learn if the Chiefs have any primetime games in 2011.

If you missed it, the Chiefs 2011 preseason schedule was released last week.
