The 2011 Arrowhead Pride Mock Draft continues with Matt Grbac choosing for the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 55...
Time for pick No. 2 for our beloved Kansas City Chiefs.
After locking down the anchor to our defense for years to come with Phil Taylor, let us continue building towards our ultimate goal. Being a defensive guy, I am very disappointed at the talent left at the Outside LB spot. A position I was very much going to consider at this 2nd round pick. I want the best possible talent for our team and I refuse to reach for a positional need.
So let us switch gears and look on the other side of the ball. Finishing the season ranked number 1 in rushing is such an unbelievable stat. What is even more unbelievable is that we finished 30th in passing yards per game. With the NFL rules heavily favoring QB's and WR's we HAVE to be better. With a lopsided offense it makes it easier to game plan for. Remember how the Ravens destroyed our passing game in the playoffs. Bowe was held without a catch and Cassel threw 3 picks, which ultimately led to our demise.
My final thought before my choice is: You cant bring a bunch of rusty knives to a gun battle...

Although not completing his eligibility, Cobb also posted outstanding career numbers during his three seasons with the Wildcats. He broke the UK all-time record for total touchdowns (37) and ranks fourth in career all-purpose yardage (4,674), fourth in career scoring (226 points), fifth in career pass receptions (144) and sixth in career receiving yardage (1,661). Cobb also earned a reputation as a clutch player. He scored the game-winning, come-from-behind fourth-quarter touchdown against five teams in his career - Arkansas in 2008; Louisville, at Auburn and at Georgia in 2009; and South Carolina in 2010.
03/25/2011 - Kentucky Pro day: In a league that craves versatility, Randall Cobb is rising on draft boards thanks to his jack-of-all-trades skill set. Cobb was one of 10 NFL hopefuls who worked out in front of representatives from 24 teams at Kentucky's pro day on March 10. The workouts were held indoors on FieldTurf. Standing at 5-foot-10 1/4 and 191 pounds at the combine, Cobb worked out with former NFL wideout and current Carolina Panthers offensive consultant Ricky Proehl, Cincinnati Bengals running back coach Jim Anderson, and New York Jets running backs coach Anthony Lynn. He's had three private workouts with another scheduled for this week. The teams have asked Cobb not to reveal who they are. Cobb kept all of the numbers from his impressive combine showing, and stuck with positional drills at Kentucky. With the ability to run the wildcat, line up at wide receiver, running back or as a special teams returner, Cobb is an elastic talent who may have punched his ticket to the second round next month. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

More:
"I tell NFL teams I'm willing to do anything -- play on special teams, be a gunner, whatever," Cobb said. "I love the game so much and have such a passion for the game, I just want to be on the field."
"If you put a ping-pong paddle in his hand, you're going to have to walk across the table and hit him in the mouth because he's going to compete with you," said Randy Sanders, who recruited Cobb to Kentucky and served as his offensive coordinator. "Teach him how to play tennis, and in a couple of weeks he's going to beat you on the tennis court. He's that kind of competitor.
