I always keep an eye on what Alabama is doing in college football because I know some of those players the Kansas City Chiefs will be looking at. Alabama head coach Nick Saban has some ties to GM Scott Pioli and we know how the Chiefs GM likes SEC players.
There was one player from Alabama in last year's draft that the Chiefs selected (Javier Arenas), as well as four total SEC players.
Alabama has their pro day today so we'll be paying attention to what they're doing.
Possible first round picks out of Alabama include DT Marcell Dareus and WR Julio Jones, both of whom should be gone by the time the Chiefs are picking at No. 21. RB Mark Ingram also has a shot at the first round.
Possible first round picks from
Ole Miss Mississippi State include OT Derek Sherrod, who has been a somewhat popular pick for the Chiefs in various NFL mock drafts.
Wisconsin also has their pro day and we've heard the Chiefs will be there and meeting with a couple of their guys, possibly a center and a left tackle.
Here are the rest of the pro days today: BYU, California-Davis, California, Clark-Atlanta, Colorado State, Georgia Tech, Kent State, Mississippi State, Nebraska-Omaha, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Rutgers, Texas A&M, West Georgia, UTEP.
