21. Chiefs: Derek Sherrod, tackle, Mississippi State.
Kansas City needs a better right tackle than Barry Richardson if they’re going to continue to lead the NFL in rushing. Sherrod comes from a college program that posted a 619:288 run-to-pass ratio last season, and is considered this year’s most consistent tackle prospect in some circles.

He must be reading AP.
“Kansas City needs a better right tackle than Barry Richardson if they’re going to continue to lead the NFL in rushing.” is kind of a funny argument to me considering we led the league in rushing with Richardson already so how does he figure we couldn’t again with the same guy we already did it with? Not only that Richardson’s downside is his pass blocking not his run blocking.
I won’t even get into the rest of his mock but I can’t believe some people get paid actual money to do this.

Agreed.
But it’s the same thing with most mocks, most people don’t follow all teams very closely…if at all and even less so with the chiefs

Maybe.
Or he’s just looking at the difference in strength of schedule, and figures it won’t be so easy to lead the NFL in rushing again.
Resign ≠ Re-sign
That is a genuine concern
We were dominant in a lot of games but when playing teams with bigger defenses we got completely and mercilessly shut down, I think though that was a problem with scheming for bigger defenses rather than personnel

NT is more pressing at this point
Barry may still have some upside whereas we have a known quantity at NT I’m of the opinion that we could see above average play there with adding a rotational/developing talent to help keep big Ron fresh

NT may be the bigger need
but that does not mean we have to use the first round pick on that need.

Dont you know?
We’re expected to draft a Tackle in the first round every year according to the “experts”.

That's right, I did here that.
I think ill stay off of this wagon…I’m against OT in round 1.

I'm down!
Tackle? Great! LB? Great! NT? Great! WR? Great! Just go after the holes! And yes, that IS what she said!
